I have more than 33 years of operational business experience, in senior positions as CEO and in operational compliance/data protection and consulting. I have extensive international experience in medical device and pharmaceutical companies with a focus on the markets in the USA, Europe, Russia/CIS, the Middle East and China.

For the past four years, I have been the International Practice Lead for the Life Sciences Governance, Risk Management and Compliance practice of an international consulting firm. Before that, I worked for more than six years as global Chief Compliance Officer for a €16 billion medtech and pharmaceutical company with over 100 locations worldwide. Prior to this mission, I served several years as global Chief Compliance Officer for a €9 billion industrial company. In these roles, I also oversaw global data protection for the organization.

I was a member of the executive management team on each occasion, leading the organization to ensure that governance and oversight duties were met, including identifying, assessing and resolving issues. My team helped guide the organization through the largest FCPA agreement in the industry, not only meeting expectations, but also establishing a best-in-class compliance program.

This includes a deep understanding of data protection, anti-bribery and anti-corruption (domestic and international), conflicts of interest and regulatory matters as they manifest themselves in day-to-day operations and, above all, also require practical risk management controls.

I have a MA from the University of St. Gallen (lic.oec.) and a MSJ from Seton Hall Law School and have been a board and strategic committee member of ETHICS, an International Association of Healthcare Ethics and Compliance Professionals, since its inception. I am an active Colonel in the General Staff of the Swiss Army.

I am a regular speaker and panelist at major industry-specific global compliance conferences.
